The Music of Apocliptic

Apocliptic makes music to listen to. Do not expect a happy sing-along. No party music or delicate love songs.

We take you along in a diversity of sound that is one moment velvety soft and the next moment cutting cold as the chilly north wind. But it always moves forward. Forward, you will be carried away on the waves of music, in flowing movements, exhilarating, propelling you to a climax, ending in an explosion of sound. It makes you curious about the next note, it forces you to listen and to keep on listening. Again and again a different effect, a different angle, pitch, instrument, rhythm and feeling. The music of Apocliptic lives, floats, and moves. Takes you along, pulsates, leaves your thoughts, and immerses you in the sound. No music aimed at the masses. But real listening music that takes you to another dimension.

Each song forms a rounded whole with a beginning and an end. And lasts, as long as it lasts. Not bound to the commercialism of a single that cannot last longer than 3 minutes, each piece of music gets the time it needs to appear in its most beautiful form.

The style of Apocliptic is hard to capture in one description. Ambient, rock, symphonic, pop, it all just does not fit. The only style that really fits is electronic music. Within this style, Apocliptic has created a sound that is entirely their own and that is difficult to colour any further. It is Music to Listen to. That is all you need to know.

About the name
When you search for Apocliptic online, the search engine tries to convince you that you are making a typo. Shouldn’t it be apocalyptic? No, our music is not catastrophic or overwhelming. It could be miraculous or strongly evocative. The real origin of the name Apocliptic can be found in the words apogee and ecliptic. If you put these two words together you get Apocliptic.

DARK MATTER (album description)
What the seed was planted for over 30 years ago has grown into a completely new album. This complete album has been given the name Dark Matter.

Just imagine…
A wave of dark matter threatens our earth. The quality of life will change drastically. The sun will slowly but surely turn into a giant ice planet and all life on earth will disappear.
An exo-planet in a nearby solar system seems to offer a solution.
Scientists discover that this planet is habitable for us humans. We leave Earth and embark on the journey. Mankind makes a reboot and builds a new society, but…. aren’t we making the same mistakes as in the past?
And then that dark matter… is it really certain that we are now rid of it for good?

Dark Matter takes you on a journey in the universe and lets you float in space. Weightless, relaxed, free and innocent like a newborn child.

MYSTERIOUS DEPTHS OF THE OCEAN
Romerium and Apocliptic
Apocliptic started a collaboration with Romerium, a fellow student from Sound Education Netherlands. Together they’ve made this beautiful Ambient album.

Album description
Oceanographers often divide the ocean into horizontal layers. They use the physical characteristics of the water such as temperature, density, and the amount of light at different depths to classify these layers. The most important factor is the density of the water, which is determined by the combination of salinity (the amount of salt in the water) and temperature. All ocean water is salty, but some contains more salt than others. The water that is saltier is heavier and sinks, while the water that is less salty is lighter and floats. Similarly, warmer water is lighter than colder water, so it floats on top of colder water.
